Q. What do you test for in the oil?
A. Moisture, residual solvent, free fatty acids, color, clarity, D-alpha-Tocopherols.
 
Q. What is the purpose of wheat germ oil?
A. It is an excellent source of natural Vitamin E and naturally occurring fatty acids and policosanols.
 
Q. Does the oil contain soy/GMO/organic?
A. No, our wheat germ oil contains no soy.  It is not GMO and it is not organic
 
Q. Does the oil need to be refrigerated or can it be frozen?
A. No it does not require refrigeration. If it is refrigerated, it should be noted that separation may occur and the oil should be mixed thoroughly prior to use. We do not recommend freezing the oil.
 
Q. Dosage recommendations?
A. As Vitamin E supplement, 1 tsp provides 10 IU of Vitamin E. For 100% daily recommended value 1 tbs provides 30 IU.
 
Q. Can I cook with Wheat Germ Oil?
A. No, heat will destroy the Vitamin E and WGO has a low smoke point, so cooking with it is not a good idea.
 
Q. What is the oil shelf life?
A. All oil is good for two years from manufacture date. A “best if used by date” is marked on product as well.
 
Q. Does wheat germ oil contain gluten?
A. Our wheat germ oil is not considered gluten free and not labeled as such.
 
Q. Prometol dosage?
A. In the 3 min size; to supplement Vitamin E is 3 capsules=10 IU. 100% of daily recommended value is 7 capsules= appx 30 IU. The 10 min size; to supplement Vitamin E is 1 capsule= appx 15 IU. 100% of daily recommended value is 3 capsules=39 IU.

A. Use the "best if used by” date.
